Potential Cycle Route

Over the past 10 years, GVAG has been promoting the development of a cycle route along the Golden Valley. Where possible making use of the existing paths, open verges, the old railway lines and land allocated for cycle traacks. At this stage, it is a discussion idea and will need many more people to get involved if this is to happen.

The route ideally will go from Pontrilas in the South to Hay-on-Wye in the North of the valley. There is a move to re-open the train station in Pontrilas. If this is successful, then people can come directly from London by train and then cycle along the Golden Valley into Wales.
